Mourn

In mourning for your death, my love

I find these halls emptied.

The bright room, we shared a home,

Seemed gloom.

The bed where you lied,

Bathed in your scent,

And I kept reaching for your body,

Hoping this nightmare would end.

They told me,

Brighter days are ahead.

But how could that be so?

When you were my yellow,

And my brightness is dead.
